OSU Extension Service Offers “Field-to-Market” Workshop
The OSU Extension Service is accepting registrations for the first in a series of workshops titled “Field-to-Market,” aimed at farmers, Market Managers, and food entrepreneurs interested in producing and selling farm-direct, value-added products, including jams & jellies, fruit syrups, salsa, pickles, sauerkraut, and others.
Field-to-Market is a series of 5 workshops, including “Essentials,” and four hands-on, specialty workshops titled “Acidified Foods,” “Dehydrated Foods,” “Fermented Foods,” and “High Acid Foods.”
The workshops are facilitated by content experts who will deliver factual information, and trained Master Food Preserver volunteers who provide opportunities to practice research-based food preservation techniques.
Date: Saturday, February 10th
Time: 9 AM – 12: 30 PM
Location: North Willamette Research & Extension Center located in Aurora.
Cost: $25/individual, or $40/couple, and includes snacks and resources to take home. Pre-registration is required.
